land rover 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Report Share Posted January 10, 2007 If your kids won't eat pheasant try cutting the breast into thick strips or chunks, dip in flour, then dip in whisked egg. Make breadcrumbs add salt and pepper, pinch of mixed herbs or parsley. Roll the meat in breadcrumbs and shallow fry. If you tell them they are chicken mcnuggets they won't know the difference. FPO 0 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Share Posted January 13, 2007 Nice idea! could fancy trying this myself, with a bit of tyme chopped in with the flour maybe? chuncky chips and maybe cranberry, balsalmic and sage sauce (easy to make!) 4 tbs cranberry sauce, 3 balsalmic vinigar and good tbs of chopped sage, mixed together and heated up, lovely if you have a sweet tooth!! Got it from my friend Delia! I'll try your delia smith sauce, they go very nicely with mashed potato and cheese sauce. or even eaten cold with a bit of tomato relish to dunk them in. v-max 2 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Share Posted January 13, 2007 Hello sound's good im lucky i can get hundred's of pheasant's.Iv taken 200 or so this year tryed load's of recipe's or she has realy.I have a hot smoker & plan to smoke some soon iv done roe venison in it & sliced it like cold meat is done my brother got an electric slicer fae LIDLE shop & it's great. (by the way folks I'm land rovers Mrs - he does the huntin and I do the cookin. ) Hope they don't mind me doin the cookin forum, its what I do best.
