TGEvans 4
Hi guys, about to purchase some gear for hide building. Would a Camo tarpaulin be ok or would netting be better? Reason being is that I use camo tarp for my bushcrafting stuff and would be silly to own both if not really necessary. Any thoughts and info would be much appreciated. Thanks, Tim. Quote Link to post
fozzy41 9
Scrim is be better for a few reasons, 1, it doesn`t cause such a barrier if the wind is up so therefore not blowing the hide down. 2, Scrim/netting allows you to peek through and keep your eyes on approaching birds before getting up at the last second and shooting. 3, Scrim/netting breaks the background up better for arguments sake, against a wall or hedge, it blends in. I use Scrim/netting and have done for 25 years, it`s easy and cheap to get hold of, light weight and the netting hangs over the poles well too. I`ve also used a camo parachute but Netting has always been best. fozzy Edited December 27, 2010 by fozzy41 Quote Link to post
