black lurcher 6 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Share Posted December 26, 2010 it's not all about quantity but quality i watched a gentlemen and his 4 yr old beddy/whippet X saluki whippet nippy little thing where we were working it the landscape is a bit of hit and miss lots of fences ditches and hawthorn bushes dotted around so we were on a mooch and the rabbits were sat there just outside there burrow I had my patt X lakey with me so i let her go she went 2 sneak around the back but she has 2 speeds break neck and walking but she was crouching and scared them straight 2 me mates dog which quickly set off . he went after 1 that was heading for the hawthorn bush just as it was about to crash into cover he dived and caught it 1 in the bag with a few scratches . the other 1 he crept up in the long grass spooked them towards my bitch which got 1 but his dog then sprinted and got 1 which was about 2 go down a ditch but he was flat out and got 2 it as it was just about 2 descend with a leap across , 2 in the bag we only caught 7 but they were all magnificent.
