Guest crobinc840
I've noticed with a few of these hard core hunters they forget the basics. What foods are deadly to dogs? How often should you trim a puppies nails? How do you trim the nails? What age is too old to breed a bitch? Basic questions, what are your answers?

There are lots of food deadly to dogs, but some are only deadly in great quantity's eg garlic can be feed, but only small amounts, theres plenty of lists on the net - that shows you what are deadly, cooked bones are the wosrt that people feed their dogs. puppys nails need trimming as and when needed, they should be checked either every day or ever other day, when you do the other health checks, or check when grooming. how you trim the nails - bit hard to describe, it can be different for every dog other factors come in to it aswell, like thickness of the nail, how the dog react, most of mine are trained to to sit and give a paw when i need to trim their nails. age would depend on healthand other factors, but i would say 7-8 years old. " basics " would be to assume there is a right or wrong way of doing things.......the reality is everybody has their own opinions and methods concerning dog care and animal husbandry in general.....what is the correct " basics " for 1 man might be wrong for another.
