river thames ( where has all the cod got to? )

hi all, i been fishing the thames opposite tilbury docks a lot recently but every cast is producing whiting some not bad size but mostly didlers the odd small bass and flounder too but no sign of any cod what so ever , where have they got to ?.............

probably the hull of foriegn boats. had my wreck trip for tomorrow cancelled yesterday was looking forward to see how things were fairing this year.
