Wood burning stoves

Recommended Posts

see this topic is a few month old but if its any help all wood should be seasoned for around 2 years and pine is not a good wood to burn full of sap causing tar.

my old fella burns anthracite in his stove and it stays lit 24/7.he burns a couple of buckets a day and it just ticks over, with little waste.

if your chimney is good you should be able to use just a short piece of pipe as long as you seal off the inside of the chimney as someone suggested couple pieces angle iron

and a steel sheet with a flange and the pipe poking through should be sufficient as long as your chimney is sound,if it isnt then the flue liner fitting isnt as big a job as it sounds

and accesing the chimney top is probabally gonna be the hardest part

hope this is some help
