working bales

Recommended Posts

The little bit of terrier work im involved with, we never work bales as there arnt any on the land we work, all kicked out rabbit earths and drains.

My point; what type of terriers do people prefer for bale work? I shouldnt imagine taking the stack apart to get to your terrier is often an option.

If i was you mate ,i would stay well away from them as we found out today , we put a dog in a stack today at 745 am and after moving 158 ,1 tonne bales of straw we got the dog out at 5.45 pm with his quarry dead , what i would say if you do work bales make sure you have someone who will come out with a teleporter to move the bales if your dog gets stuck or will not come out even if the quarry is dead , we was lucky today 1 phone call and there was 2 teleposters there within a hour and half and a 3rd one on stanby .
