tjones3862 3,423
hi all i was a bit fed up over the weekend so i thought i would make a new ferret box and the wood was free making me feel better atb tj how do you bow the back mate? the outer curve is 3 1/2 inch and the center is 1 1/4 inch so get a peice ot paper to the length of the box you are making then fold it in half and then draw a curve and then cut the paper to the line then cut a long when you have done that then open it up and it will be the same either side then put it on the wood and draw a long the edge and then used a jigsaw to cut it out atb tj Quote Link to post
KittleRox 2,147
You have to have wood clamps and glue along with the nails or screws. Good job i did'nt use use wood clamps and the glue i used was mitre fix which sets straight awawy and i used my electic brad gun to pin it together atb tj Much better idea does the mitre fix have an odour? I'm sure us average people could use screws instead of a brad gun. Pilot and coontersink the screws, Brad guns very useful as well, Quote Link to post

Guest crobinc840
Sorry didn't mean to imply your not average I just thought most people don't have access to a brad gun and wouldn't want to buy one just to make a box with. Anyone that has a drill can make a box with screws and the mitre fix as long as they know basic construction. One of the reasons I haven't built a box is I didn't want to buy tools to build it that I wouldn't need again. It would be just as well to buy a box that's already been made. With the mitre fix I wouldn't have to buy more tools. Quote Link to post
