littlefish 598
Listen to the wisdom of Skycat Also......play with a tug and teach the pup a 'give' or release command. Education regarding manners starts from day one, no point witing til your pup is half grown and having his own ideas about things.
Gaz_1989 9,539
Thanks for replys. This thread is actually a few weeks old. He is 16 weeks now and really calmed down. I've learnt that he was just playing, he is a bad teether and struggling with loosing his first teeth. He chews like mad and sometimes thinks my arm is his toy. But ALOT calmer than he was. And he knows what NO means. He is well socialised and I'm just concentrating on getting him out and about as much as possible. He is already getting the hang of working his way around field obstacles and is good with all sorts of new dogs and people. Just in the process of stock breaking now, he has met them on lead a few times and off lead once and so far so good. Recall is % there, just gets deaf sometimes if other people or dogs about. And retrieve is getting better by the day. So on the whole he is alot steadier and coming on leaps and bounds. Thanks alot, Gaz
