was justwondering if anyone had fished the large duck pond in the middle of braunstone park,if they had success and what tacktics they used, i have had fish to 15lb through the summer but realy struggling in the winter, im never realy sure of my presentation as the silt is about 3 ft deep :wallbash: any help would be gratefully apresiated, cheers ingram

Hi Ingram, Could i ask where is the fishery located as there is a lake of which you describe in leicester but your location says dumfries quite some distance apart. Paul

 

alright mate, its in braunstone leicester, i have been down from scotland visiting family and its a 2 minute walk from the house, i have had some success in the summer from this water but nothing in the winter no matter what tactics i try :wallbash: cheers ingram

Never fished it but these methods may be worth ago, choddy with pineapple pop up on one rod and with the other have a lead about for a hard spot 2-3 spods of maggot over the top and fish dead maggots on the hair with a mix of dead and live maggot in a pva bag. Both are good winter methods. With the chod rig I may be tempted to move it every couple of hours and search the swim a bit. You often find with winter carp they shoal up tight in one spot on the lake, find this spot and you can really get good results.
