Buster321c 1,010
Prices - The whole 3/4/5*0 series including the TDR and MPR cost £155 plus the return postage if needed, £25 by next day insured special delivery or £12 by Parcel Force 48 The S200 is either £100 for just the cylinder to be regged or £125 if the whole action is to be setup aswell, the setting up is easy if you have a crono. Again plus return postage if needed, £10 on the cylinder and the same as for the other rifles on the whole action. Regulators are very useful for eradicating the power curve, providing consistancy, efficient air usage and thus extending the number of shots per fill. fps variation can be as small as 4 fps across the max to min fill. Basically it will iron out the power curve and give very consistent `same power ` shots , from first to last . At the minute i use a Ben Taylor regged S410k and he assures me i can get 120 shots for a 210 fill . The fps variation is almost nothing . Is it worth the cost ? Well i got the rifle with the `mods` done already , and although it`s undoubtedly one of the best rifles ive had to date , there and other `mods` on it that can account for the `whole performance ` of the rifle . OK i paid slightly more than a standard S410k is worth , but it was worth it i feel . Would i pay for the work to be done ? Probably not as it would not be cost affective for me . If i had the rifle with all other `mods` done and knew how the reg would transform the gun , at Tweaky`s prices , i would`nt think twice . As a matter of fact i`ve stripped the whole lot today and cleaned and replaced all the seals , there a lot of work that goes into a `reg` , alot of unseen planning and preparation to get the absolute best out of an air rifle , its more than a strip and polish so yes for me it would be money well spent . PS Tweaky and Tench are one and the same , Simon Howarth . Buster Edited November 2, 2010 by Buster321c 1 Quote Link to post
