You dont want to put him over a bitch just because she is yours and you own them both, the stud must complement the bitch and vice versa.

Take your time, he is young and needs to mature himself first, get as much training into him and as much hunting as you can, if you can get him on a few beating lines that will help and if his work rate impresses people then you will find a few offers may come your way.

Why dont you take him to the vet and get him hip xray and eye scored properly !

Then send his blood to germany for DNA testing to make sure he isnt carrying the GPRA gene or CNM ?

 

At least then anyone interested in letting you put your black labrador TYPE dog to their bitch will know that its all clear and healthy instead of passing on any kind of disease.

 

 

Thats as long as the bitch is tested clear too ?

(and if you dont bother to get yours done, why should the bitches owner bother ? you then have two dogs NOT tested)

 

You dont need a pedigree for any of that ,and its promotes responsible breeding instead of banging them out because your dog has a dick !On the other hand !If you dont give a toss breed him anyway .

 

Seen tooooooooo many dogs go blind or crippled with bad hips !
