This season i've been out the grand total of 5 outings, caught fish every time but even the news from one of my angling pals of 3 barbel for 38lbs {the biggest being 16lb 8oz} hasn't made me want to get of my arse and get out, would much sooner be doing anything but fishing what the hells wrong with me??????????????????

i thank we all go through a spell like that .i went through a spell last year and my mates ware out getting 20lb pike and all sorts.i couldn't have give a fcuk.i was happy just getting out with the dog and doing a bit of lamping.

I'm the same, got myself a ticket for our local lake, and i mean local, i can walk it. Fished it once, caught a nice mixed bag of silvers and never been back. Lost all interest in fishing when the commercial Carp scene came and the rivers became as clear as tap water. I'll never sell my kit though, just in case i start again.

know how you feel mate,iv fished for over thirty years and what with lamping realistically just not got the time any more,work 6 days week usually so that doesn't help, finally sold the lot last year,it was mainly carp fishing for me just f****d off with taking all the kit as well for 2/3day sessions,prob do a bit of course fishing in the summer with my lad but that will be as far as it goes for me

Same here mate done a couple of nights on the Trent after the Barbel caught naff all, had one run early morning and got snapped.

Usually switch to Pike, Perch now but just can't be bothered.
