shooting yesterday.

hi all, well i woke up yesterday to a text of my bother saying he fancyed pheasant for tea, so i said i will see that i can do, got up got ready off i went about 6:45 didnt see a thing for about a hour, then while sat having a cig brake i hear a cock pheasant calling, droped my fag and stalked up to it got about 40 yards from it and smack head shot, nice one i thought pheasant for tea it is. walked home and told my bother that iv got one, got it ready for the pot to get a phone call of my bother again saying one is no good there is going to be four of us for tea, so went and got the gun owt again off i went, saw 5 more 3 hens and 2 cocks but they saw me and flue off, ohh well i thought plenty of time to get another, walking round i must of seen about 20 rabbits think they must of known that i wasnt shooting them today, i was coming up to a the end of a hedge were i normaly see 1 or 2 by this time the sun was right behind me casting a big shadow of me, poped my head round but they was runing away before i even got my head round, but one of them stoped about 100 yards away, they was a bail about 40 yards from me to i got to the bail and got lined up smack another head shot i thought but when i got up to it i saw it was just under the head in its neck, got home rang him so he came and picked me up, got cocker on, best sunday dinner iv had in years, we decided that we was going to do something for next weekend, so im off owt today to try and get some partridge and pigeon, and got some more good news i got my silencer adapter for the twink to day so gonna go give it ago.

No wonder the shot was placed in the neck pal that shot would of been 60 yards so a great shot for anyones standard of shooting, must of needed a lot of hold over .

 

I had lamb yesterday which was also very tasty

thanks for that mate, yes give it about 2 inch hold over but needed about 3, been owt again today with no luck didnt even have a shot, but they is still time.

also forgot to add, very impressed with the twink silencer very nice bit of kit, well worth the wait and the money.
