I do mine every six months, other people do them every three months; don't feed fresh, unfrozen rabbit (freeze for 3 weeks to kill tapeworm cysts) and sheep's paunch is just as bad for giving a dog worms. Beef tripe isn't the same problem.

 

No matter what you feed your dog, the moment you take it out into the big wide world it can pick up worms: from sniffing other dogs' faeces, from grass, from just about anywhere. The only time I worm my dogs more frequently than every 6 months is if I see signs of worm segments in their faeces or around their bums.
