tubba 38
Alright lads, i am currently using a 3 arm mega magnet with air pro decoys. The problem is the battery im using a 12v 17 ah runs out after 3 or so hours. I was looking to buy a 12v 40 ah battery, will this be safe to use without burning out the motor on my magnet? hope you can help cheers. Quote Link to post
carpentermark 21
Hi mate, 40ah battery will work fine, as long as its a 12volt although i think youll find the weight a problem?! I use a 12v 17ah on my rotary spinning 2 dead birds (a lot more weight than air pro's) and i get about 13 hours out of mine so i would prob have your battery checked before buying a new one to see if its holding a full charge. slip. 0
hi, the more amps the better, just mean the battery will last long, but the down side is more wieght to carry about. Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
The voltage is the important measure. The amp/hour measure is just an estimate of the power reserve available, a bit like the capacity of the fuel tank in your car. A larger Ah value means you can do more work before the battery is exhausted. A 40Ah lead acid battery will be pretty heavy though, so only good if you don't need to carry it too far!
