air gunner 0
i recently purchased one of those clip on bipods for my BSA supersport (gas ram). now i have read many topics on various forums about bipods messing with consistency accuracy etc on springers... however i wanted to try for my self, now i zeroed my gun at 25 yards the day before the bipod arrived and as soon as it arrived i put it on and took 2 shots at the same distance i zeroed the day before without a bipod and the POI was exactly the same with the bipod on, im not saying this will work for everyones springers as mine has been tuned alot and shoots smooth even for a rammer. i like the results and will be using this on my next outing. zini 1,939
Hi air gunner, Thats teally good news pal If it works on your combo then go for it pal, anything to aid accuracy is a good thing. Its only either recoil or something interfering with the harmonics of the shooting action that effects the POI when using a bipod mate so if you rifle is as you say and shoots very smoothly and as been tuned then this will be why it works for you Ive seen one fitted to a Pro Sports barrel (clipped on) and the POI was high and right mate by about 2 inches pal and it wasnt the bloke shooting it as he is a far better shot than i am . air gunner 0
very true. im very pleased with the set up at the moment. i did find before i tuned my gun that when rested on solid objects POI would be effected seriously. anyway its working for me, so for £6 i would suggest people give it a try. if it doesnt work for you, sell the bipod on ebay or sale section. By the way zini your vids are top notch, i think the thing was recently "slut points"? so many of them going towards you mate, chair gun is working wonders for me. 45yard shots of the bipod are seriously achievable on targets and will soon be used out in the field (when its not so windy) Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Great news that air gunner buddy 45 yards is one hell of a distance with a recoiling rifle for anyones standard Keep up the good work and i await to see some good photos from you pal. ATB Si Quote Link to post
