Sums up my circle of friends when ive got to come on a hunting forum to ask a techincal question
Guest jt750
you can use a dvd recorder to put video onto dvd. or if your computer has a graphics/tv card you can plug in your tv and capture the videa from there
Guest clash
As said above, you need a dvd recorder. Link the video to the dvd recorder & away you go. I ain't the brightest button when it comes to technology, but i managed to transfer some of my stuff over.
gnasher16 31,602
Cheers boys....im gathering you cant pause a dvd while recording and just record the bits you want like you could on a tape to tape vhs ?!....and do you lose any quality in the transfer ?..... Spose i,ll just buy one and give it a go,prob walk out the shop with a toaster
Guest clash
You can pause it,via the vid or dvd as i know i edited whatever i needed out. Quality wise, was very good & possibly better,if i remember right. Sure you can buy a dvd/video all in one ? If you do get stuck,or don't want to buy a recorder, then give me a shout. Mac 30
Supose it depends on the material and the personal content weather you would want someone to do it for you. Theres a few guys on ebay do it for just more than a tenner if memory serves. Just send them the tapes and your editing requests and they convert to dvd for you. I had one done for my mothers anniversary, had no problems what so ever. Hope that helps a little.

Guest clash
No bother. I'm sure the investment will be the right way to go & will make sure them tapes are kept for years to come. My vids are in a box now, just in case........................
