Wxm 1,638
it all deppends on the breeding of whippet ... i would go for a beddie x ... just out of preference if you read on here theres a few whippets thats taken rabbit, hare and fox (pre ban). but i think with adding the beddie would toughten the skin a bit for the bushes Quote Link to post
brunty29cdo 5
depends what you mean by an "allrounder".ie legal or a "f**k the ban allrounder"? Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,217
If by all rounder you mean jobs, i.e lamping, ferreting, bushing etc then yes a whippet would do the job well, or a Beddy cross (i'd go 3/4), if you mean pre ban all rounder on all quarry, it can and has been done with plenty of them, but they wouldnt be my first choice, neither would a beddy x, but it would maybe be a wee bit more suitable than a pure whippet. But having said that, if you like the idea of a whippet, and i'd highly advise one, then your best off going to see Mr Mike Brown and buying a pup straight from him, it will do all that you want and more, to the limits and often beyond it's size. . . . . and they are great dogs to have about the place. A phone call to mike is a good idea anyway as he can talk to you about whippets more passionatly and accuratly than anyone on here. Quote Link to post
