terrier limping

hi 2 weeks ago my terrier was bitten on the top off its front leg didnt realy look bad. when i got her home i washed it threw with salt water and give her penacillin for five days just in case off infection. now the leg looks fine theres no swelling or heat and it isnt broken but the dog still isnt putting weight on it im thinking off takeing it to the vets but my mate says the dog just needs resting could anyone give me a little bit off advise please and has anyone elese had this problem?? thanks

could just be a bit stiff and bruised, if your really concerned get a second opinion.

thanks if it was that how long would it take ruffly to get better and shud i be keeping the dog kenneled

if it was me + i would give it another week if the dog isnt in serious discomfort or pain, if it doesnt improve id go to a different vet for an examination and perhaps an x-ray

cheers thers no pain ther when i touch or bend it, she still jumpin round and that but prefers to keep the weight off it thanks for your advice
