winchester sx3 semi auto

Recommended Posts

i know to lads who i shoot with a lot and they both have one , suprisingly light , excellent recoil system ,and never had any probs cycle but never put anything smaller than a 28g through them but take it ur not going to put much smaller through it , also cycle well between 28 g and 3" magnum and vice versa

overall a nice gun but a hefty price tag :gunsmilie:

does anybody use this gun am thinking about buying one with 3 inch chamber and a 26" barrell, but they are all new and dont usually like buying a gun without trying it first, any help would be very gratefull

Hi t5avs1

I've just bought a brand new SX3 3 1/2 composite 30'' barrell about 2 weeks ago ( spur of the moment decision ) and so far everything seems to be ok. I've only been out with it pigeon shooting a couple of times and it functioned perfectly.

I was using FIOCCHI pigeon 32 no 6's 1 1/8 oz. On winchesters site though they recommened a cartridge of at least 70mm , so i've bought a few boxes of RIO super Game 32 no 5's 2 3/4'' 70mm.

Weather permitting , i hope to be going out on Sunday for a few hours and give my new toy another work out.

This is my first semi auto and i suppose the worst thing i found was the stripping down and the cleaning , but from what people tell me , all gas piston auto loaders need a fair bit of cleaning. I also found a welcome video on you tube showing how to completely dismantle the SX3 for cleaning ,

all the best ,

John ;)

thanks for both the replies glad to hear you like it mjr88 i think i mite have to purchase one it will be my first auto also think i might look for a shop with a second hand one so can give it a blast though to see whether i like it or not..

what adjustments do it have like spacers or anything as with most guns i have to keep my head a tad bit up off the stock to see up the barrell if that makes sense and want it to properly fit me for once this time even if i have to get stock altered

cheers
