Tiff 36
some chickenfeed had spilled on the driveway so my barnyard fowl and wild birds have been scratting around right in view outside a window. I have a blue swedish drake who for the past 3 mornings I have witnessed doing something surprising (to me anyway) ... he has been hunting and occasionally catching little birds who are scratting around the spilled feed. He appears to have caught & eaten a few, or am I "seeing" things?

Capt Boo 2
Yep, quite agree. Seen my fowl & pheasants attack, kill and eat mice before. Also the Mallard ducks on the lake frequently attack small ducklings of another duck, drowning them. (Poor old Black Neck Swan got blamed for all deaths!) Have seen ducks go for Robins, Sparrows, etc now and then when around food.
