shotgunny 39
Hi lads after being on holidays during all the harvest I was delighted to see all the farmers out bringing in bails with hundreds of pigeons taking off the fields. So Sunday morning I got on my bike and went around asking a few lads for some permission while they were out cutting. First couple of fields were empty then I saw a bailer going into the field. I went over to the farmer and after a quick chat bagged 82 acres of wheat stubble. Good start. He also told me a few other places to try . Next field has over 400 acres of wheat and rape growing so after another chat I had that one also. On Monday morning me and dad headed off to the smaller permission with the shotty and deeks. When we arrived only about 30 birds flew off but we set up anyway. We were only waiting for 15 mins before birds started dropping in to investigate our pattern. We start hitting the incoming birds and by home time at 3 we had bagged a respectable bag of 26 birds. Throughly enjoyed the day out and I hope to get out again soon. Atb sg Quote Link to post
