AM_Maestro 0
Morning all, i'm looking at getting a lurcher in the near future. just wondering what everybody's thoughts are on havin one or two puppies. obviously its going to be more work with having two at the same time, but as i understand it, it could be really quite beneficial for them when they're exercising/ playing etc. has anyone had two puppies the same age at the same time? was there lots more benefits for the dog compared to just having one? appreciate the help, Andy Quote Link to post
driller killer 33
I think most peoples views on this is its easier to start with just the 1, 2 pups the same age would only be interested in each other, they prob wouldnt pay any attention to you, unless you have the time to train them individually, but this is just my opinion. artic 595
I have never had 2 pups same age/litter to train. I can only imagine you'll have your hands full, maybe not, depending on the pups as each dog is an individual. If this is your first time of owning a dog from a pup then I would stick to one and focus on IT. Loads of worms could start crawling out of the can which could lead to many obsticles, up's and downers, and even re homing. I have 2 dogs, some on here have 20 and work them all, so you never know..... Quote Link to post
