had my bitch at vets last winter.stubed hur toe x ray etc bill to pay.plenty rest and lead walking.was excerciseing dogs in feild bitch returned limping bad.going to vet to get the toe removed.hopefuly get hur fit ready for winter.does any body no the time she be laid up

try getting it pin fired first mate, mine did the same but it was ligament damage with mine i tryed resting him for months and it didnt work, if the toe is remved your looking at 6 weeks lay up, and there is no garuntee that the other toes on the same foot wont go with more presure being put on them, it cost me pound for the pin fire op and me dogs seems fine . good luck anyway

was the vet a regular vet or a running dog vet? what toe was it, (outside, middle 2, inside?) and what foot (front or back?)

hi its the bitches front left and her middle toe, the vet is a greyhound vet he has worked with running dogs for years
