shotgunny 39
For the past 2 years the farmer has cut silage in one of the permissions I have . I always remembered it being cut by now but this year he hasn't cut it yet. Is it to early yet for him to cut it ?? I'm only asking as it brings in every crow for the surrounding mile lol. If anybody could inform me on what time it should be cut at it would be much appreciated. Atb sg

medic1281 5
Hi SG, First cut silage should definately be cut by now, the farmers around here are on second cut at the moment. Don't take this as an insult, but are you sure its grass and not some other crop? If its definately grass its possible he's growing it for hay. In that case he'll be waiting for some good weather again to get it dropped and dried before getting it baled. Hope that helps a bit ATB Phil
