It was a kids wendy house that we got given [ owt for nowt, go wi' a barra ! ] Hubby insulated, waterproofed and, after this pic was taken, added a nest box on the side with a hinged lid.

The hens never stayed in the pen, but that's fine cos we like em wandering around.

Thats good going

I'd secure that stone wall in winter otherwise reynard will hop over that with ease.

;)

I did worry about foxes nabbing the chooks at first, but over the last coupla years i've got complacent because we've never seen a single fox roundabout. I don't know who does pest control up here, though i hear guns regular, like. And i get woke up at times wi' lamp beams lighting up the bedroom.

The front field has a big hare population too. Do you reckon that this area might be [ currently at least ] a fox free zone ? Or am i living in cloud cuckoo land ? :icon_redface:

Right now the biggest need for new fencing is cos of the sheep. I've just been out to a kerfuffle in the garden; Hector the cockerel is fuming cos the fecky sheep have got into the garden, eaten his chopped apples, corn, and toast [ he loves crumpets ! :icon_redface: ] And even though Hector is having a complete chicken tantrum, the sheep are munching on, unconcernedly.

Gotta get some netting today !
