Markings on CZ .22 American.

I have a CZ .22 American. On one side of barrel it has "Made in Czeck Republic" and on the other side it has "CZ 452-2E ZKM American CZ USA Kansas City, KS"

 

Anyone know what the Kansas City bit means?

Hmm, that looks as if my rifle was made in Czech Republic. Then imported to the US and then found its way back over the Pond. Interesting.

My old hmr had those markings too-always baffled me as well. At least i know now.

Put Simply the Americans like things to be American, and this makes them think it is, it's the same with Beretta and no doubt many more, take a look how many Berettas say Beretta USA on them..but made in Italy!

Yes American very patriotic peoples, like mostly american thing. So, as you say, many company re-name with american logo & thing sell well. I have german watch zenith, when in america no one like, until see same as movado, then , everyone want ! crazy.
