unlacedgecko 1,467
Cleo escaped from my garden yesterday. She is a black terrier x cocker spaniel. She stands approx 12 inches tts and weighs approx 16lbs. She is black with a white blaze on her chest, white chin and white toes on ehr rear feet. She has a close smooth coat and a full tail. She is often mistaken for a labrador puppy. She is wearing a black nylon collar with tags and is microchipped. Last seen in the north station area of Colchester. I have had reported sitings of her on Causdon Road and North Station Road. I have registered her with doglost.co.uk and informed all the vets and animal shelters in my area. If anyone has any information please call me on 07596717788. Thank you very much. A reward is offered for her safe return. Ug Quote Link to post

Guest jt750
Ring your local council mate ..and don't take don't know for an answer ...they're resposible for strays now not police rspca or anyone else Quote Link to post
unlacedgecko 1,467
Thanks for the advice. I have called the council. There was a reported sighting of her yesterday, but when the dog warden turned up she had already moved on. There was a possible, but it was a full pat and long haired when I went to look. If anyone has lost a long haired pat bitch in colly the council have it. She has a full tail, not docked. Just looks docked in these photos cos she is waggin it. Unfortunately these are the only photos I have of her. I know a lad who has some better quality ones, just hope he still has them. I will post them when/if I get them. Thanks. Ug Quote Link to post
dogs-n-natives 1,182
Thats bad news mate Hopefully she will turn up, you have done all the right things.... at least she has been seen, so you know she wasn't stolen. When my old terrier was out on a walkabout he was picked up and dumped at a local vets, its lucky id rang earlier, as they would have sent him to a shelter. Best of luck with the search, let me know if I can be of any further assistance. ATB DnN Quote Link to post

dogs-n-natives 1,182
any luck mate? Quote Link to post
unlacedgecko 1,467
No unfortunately not. Put more posters up over the weekend (including every bar/pub in town) and checked the local stray kennels. She has also been reported missing to all councils neighbouring councils to Colchester. There is a travelling fair recently arrive in town. I had a walk arouind it today and will put some posters up there tomorrow. Been trying to poster in places where lots of people will see. Also had an announcement on local radio. I will put an advert in the local paper tomorrow. She is in next weeks AdTrader and online. I have not had any more reported sightings since Wednesday. I think she is dead or has been picked up by someone who wants to keep her. The lad at the stray kennel was saying that it often happens with cute/puppy looking dogs. I would take her running most nights, so she is plenty fit. Hopefully whoever has her will quickly get sick of her energy and hand her in. When I get her back or get another dog I am thinking of getting it freeze branded on the shoulder. Does anyone have any thoughts/advice on this? Ug Quote Link to post
Hannah4181 260
I've put the word around for you, nothing as yet, don't stop looking though. My friend got her's back after 2 weeks. Try and get an add on the local radio. Quote Link to post
