Guest trigger happy Posted November 15, 2006 Report Share Posted November 15, 2006 hey there lads ive been offerd a new ferret from the guy that live's next door to me the ferret is a jill but she is about 2 maybe 3 years old im going to breed her with my hob ive got he is one of this years kits and im not to sure if she will try and mother him if she does will they still breed in the spring or shall i keep them in seperate hutches untill its time for them to breed.........................? cheers lads Quote Link to post

The hob will come into season around march/april, this is when you must seperate them until the jill is fully in season. if you keep them together when the hob is in season, and the jill is not ready to accept him, then you risk injuring your jill.
