B425 Special Waterfowl???????

Recommended Posts

I have just got my licence through and am wanting to buy a gun.

I have seen a B425 Special Waterfowl 28" multichoke.

I am wanting it to be an allrounder to start off with, do you guys think this would be a good gun to start off with and will it take 3 1/2 inch magnums or 3 inch.

Any suggestion for other guns to start off with would be appreciated.

Hi Griff,

Here is a link to the Browning UK website:

http://www.browningint.com/products/firearm.php?productsarea=browning&sommaire=Over%20and%20under&classe=b425

The 425 wildfowler is chambered for upto three and a half inch cartridges, but that does not mean you have to use 3 1/2 carts you can use any 12 bore cartridge. the fact that it takes the 3 1/2 inches just gives you the flexibility to go for the big shells if you want to go wildfowling but you can put clay carts through it all day long if thats what tickles your fancy.

Hope that helps.

By the way I have a 525 (practically identical) and I am really please with it and I would recomend very highly.
