My missus had one set up in the old place before we moved! she's now crazing me to put it back up again here. Its not as big as the one you've got there and probably around 15 x 10 but boy did she grow alot of Veg in it, I raised the beds and filled with some nice rich soil and Horse Manuer and she did the rest.. Here's a few pic's of her set up, there was a few things altered with it later on like making the doors open outwards and narrowing the walkway. I'll ask her if she has any tips later and get some posted up....
Guest arch1
I don't know too much about Polly tunnels. I saw a tv program once with them on, the guy said they can suffer from a lack of ventilation and get stuffy inside, which then caused some sort of fungus. It wiped out his whole crop. One other thing, as there is no gutter, you can't collect the rain water off of it. Unlike a shed. ATB with it though.

I think what i'm going to do is put a window at the back the full width of the tunnel which will work out approx 4ft x 10ft and obviously a door at the front which should sort the ventilation side out. As for the rain water collection i've been thinking about that because it's such a big area it would collect a lot of water which would be nice. I forgot to mention that so far the Poly as cost me £0.00!! But the special UV cover is costing me £100 which I suppose is'nt too bad.
Guest bullterrier
alright mdr when you ordered your cover for your poly tunnel did you also order any anti hot spot tape because you need to put this on your frame before you put cover on to protect your cover from your frame also are you trenching your cover or fixing it to a frame i have had sprinkler system before well worth the money i didn't have windows on mine had netting on top half of the doors in summer and the cover in winter never had any problems with mildew

I suppose it would'nt hurt to put some on anyway. It will be trenched and sprinkler systemed (eventually). First poly tunnel problem! .... Something is eating my Strawberrys!! I think it's ants but? Mice, Slugs? No mice shit and no silver trails that I can see.

Most slug killers are applied to the surface of the soil, however slugs spend most of their time underground, coming up at night to feed. Sometimes they won't come up at all if they can feed on potatoes and newly planted seeds as they germinate. Nemaslug Slug Killer, works above and below the ground, offering maximum protection for your plants and seedlings
