It's as bad Here in the East Mids I've been out 4 times this season only managed 9-5-7 and Sunday just gone 8, Like it's been said the cover is too thick, and it is too mild they don't need to go down the burrows.

 

Also lots of last years rabbit burrows are now over taken by badgers.

 

 

 

This is a picture taken on Sunday as you can see by the fresh muck rabbits are still using these burrows along side the badgers.
