Hi,

Three of my jill's had the jab 6 weeks ago & so are sorted for the time being.

However my remaining Jill had no signs of coming into season so I decided to leave her & maybe breed from her when she did come into season.

Any how she came into season around a month ago.........but over the last few days I can see that she is definately coming out of season as the swelling is going down & she has nipples showing.

Now here's the strange part....along with three other Jills she lives with three males, all of whom have no balls!

 

One of the jaffa ferrets has been dragging her around alot, obviously with no end results!....so I assume that maybe all the foreplay has brought her out?

 

Anybody else experienced this?.....not personally , but with your Jills?

 

& YES they are definately jaffa's as I had them castrated last year.

All thats probably happened is the jills been brought out of season by the hob... its usually thought that a castrate has no sex drive but theres always the exception to the rule .. its not uncommon for male dogs to hump even after castration so i see no reason why the same cant be said of ferrets

 

if however she produces a litter then i think that needs investigating :laugh:
