introducing lurchers to fox

Recommended Posts

all depends on the dog the breeding an the dog man, i have a theory of entering a dog single, that dog will never rely on another for confidence, just a thoery! but id say let it watch ecpreinced dogs at it! different for diff dogs and people

All I wanna know is if your theory works cause I would enter all my coyote dogs single if I could get away with it or double but two young ones ya know.

my lurcher never seen another dog on a fox ..

he was slipped on his own at around 2 years and nailed the fox and he aint looked back since..

i dont think you need a dog to bring another on all the time. some dogs just seem to want to do it .

my dogs breeding is beddy/whippet/wheaten/grey x bull/grey ..

dogfacekilla i think your theory is a good one

Ideally my young stock will be out with us when a catch is made, and may, or may not take part... some seem to take to biting quarry earlier than others... i never rush them. My 3 year old bully lurcher self entered at 7 month single handed, but was an accident... he coped fine and never looked back, but a different dog could have been put off, and maybe even ruined from such an early encounter.
