matt_hooks 188
Ok, have applied for a SGC coterminous to my FAC. Just one thing I was wondering. On the SGC you don't need to state calibres/bore sizes, so is it a case of you can have as many as you like on there, or is there a limit of some kind? I know the FEO sometimes sets a limit on the number of guns in a cabinet, but does this apply to guns held on SGC as well as FAC? I would like, over time, to have a few shotguns of different bore's, just wondered if there could be a limit on this. Quote Link to post
spanj 11
No limit mate so long as your security is sufficient Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
That's great Span, thanks for clearing that up! I'd assumed that was the case but it's good to have it confirmed. Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
I think it depends on the feo really as to what their opinion is. Ive heard in the past of people`s feo saying "you can fit 5 guns in that cabinet" - then if you go over that number of guns, they raise a query with you. Ive also heard of feo`s suggesting people have a house alarm fitted if they have X number of guns. Of course, I dont think there are any "official" guidelines on this, so its all down to the individual feo. Personally in my experience, ive never once had an FEO even look at my gun cabinet or check ive actually got one, and never had any queries regarding number of guns ive ever had at one time. Granted, i dont think ive gone over about 7 or 8 shotguns at once, so that may not be enough to "worry" a feo. Quote Link to post
