well i got a pet jrt bitch shhe is 1 yr old on friday an has never seen rodents other than the OH's hamster we got a small garden a 8x6 shed in 1 corner and we got a compost heap benhind it so anyway 1 of our cats got run over 2 weeks ago and we were left with the older tom cat white and deaf so today he goes out and we have not seen him all day next thhing we here is a crash in the kitchen so i go out its the cat with something in his mouth so i grabbed the cat it drops what i thought was neighbours hamster but no it had a tail so i thougt a gerbil so cought it caged it looked at it better and nope it was a bloody baby rat so i put it in out door shed next thing i hear about an hour later another camosion so i go see anouther rat got dog out but missed it so i fort what i going to do with the 1 in shed so i let it go and dog gets the rat but she played with it and eventuly killed it after about a minute so job done didnt eat it but job done 1 less rat in this world to deal with hope she can do better next time
