Ali N 0
Morning Folks, My seven month old lab pup has decided that the garden is longer big enough and has started to wander. Thankfully the farm next door has always found him before the worst has happened. Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this. Many thanks Quote Link to post
waidmann 105
a dog will wander out of boredom, inquisitiveness i would either keep him occupied(big bone on a chain so he can't carry it off) or keep him tired. the other option is to make a run for him when unsupervised. i would nip this in the bud as when he learns that he can hunt alone he won't need to be near you, this will result in the dog hunting for himself(possibly not retrieving and ranging into the next drive..........). good luck bud waidmann Quote Link to post
Lloyd90 509
Mines the same mate, she will wander off to look for dogs to play with, Shes 1 now and getting better. Seems happy to just lay in the garden more, but if she sees/hears a dog she will still go Just need to secure your garden, I also put her in a run when I cant watch her! Quote Link to post
