hi poacherman,i have never fished loch fad ,but my mate takes a crew from his bowling club up there every year,he is big into his fly fishing,he had a 7lb broonie out it last year along with a few rainbows,he hired the boat,i think he said there was 6 of them went and they all caught fish,he said it's well stocked,now he is the kind of lad that if the place was no good he wouldn't go back and they have been going for the last 4 yrs so it must be good,hope this helps atb with your tripthumbs.gif a wee tip for you,he said when he caught the broonie he was sitting on the boat eating a sandwich and threw in a piece of bread,after a few minutes he saw a fish taking in from the surface,so he decided to stick a piece of bread on an old fly and just let it drift,5 mins later bang a 7lb brooniewhistling.gif keep that to yourself,lolthumbs.gif where in scotland you from?i'm from just outside paisley,been in ireland 12 yrs nowthumbs.gif
