Secondhand Gun Buying Advice

Evening guys,

 

Thinking about buying a Beretta 687 privately looks in nice nick in the photos.

 

What should I be looking for in terms of problems when buying not just this gun privately second hand but any O/U shotgun?

U shouldnt go wrong with any beretta mate they are super reliable and very rarely give any trouble I would just look out for any obvious signs of abuse or neglect such as pitted barrels, severely scratched stock/action etc! Mechanically I would be very suprised if it gives you any trouble this is a pretty safe buy for a S/H gun. Hope this helps. GK84

just make sure its nice and "tight".........that said they are easily tightend

 

good gun if its been looked after ....plenty of online reveiws.

MAke sure theres no pitting in the barrels, that the stock and butt have no obvious signs of cracks, that the safety works, action is tight on locking...

 

shouldn't have much trouble but you always can judge a man by any of his guns so if your going to buy privately take a look at the rest also if he lets you... even if it just for conversation purposes just ask what else do you shoot....? and take it from there....
