*** New-Bushnell Binoculars with BuiltIn Rangefinder***

Recommended Posts

Hiya Guys,

I could do with a little guidance from you guys please, I am looking at getting some binoculars and a range finder to help me accurately assess ranges when stalking.

I am looking currently looking at Swarovski, zeis, leica and leupold, and I am not sure which one to go for, In addition I am also looking to get a range finder and am interested in the Leica Geovids which offer top notch binos with a range finder built in.

I am not sure whether the Leicas would be a good buy or whether I would do better buying separate binos and range finder.

Can you offer your opinions on separate or all in one solutions to my quandry and different manufacturers to look at for the best options please?

Thanks guys.

I had a pair of Swarovski 10x42 el's as well as a seperate Leica rangefinder and i have sold them and bought a pair of Leica Geovids 10x42HD's with a built in rangefinder, and, the main reason was very practical as I was always leaving the rangefinders at home, and, this way I can't(well shouldn't....although I did the other day...lol)the bins are fantastic, and, for me to say that is something as I had the Swarovski's for at least 10 yrs.The Leicas are a bit heavier, but it is marginal to be honest, and,I am happy with the weight, and the clarity is superb...............good luck with your choice.....Martin

Cant buy better glass than Leica ... I have done plenty of long range shooting and glassing for deer and elk. Range finders are nice but I find no use for them until I am shooting past 400 yards. I have killed two deer past 400 and I once shot a coyote at par 7 - witnesed. I didn't use a range finder on any of these - my farthest rifle game kills. If I know my gun and load than the rest comes natural. All I need is good glass and to know my rifle and load.....Range finders are great and to have one integrated into the binos is great. Wish I could afford the Geovids i'll just stay with my Trinovids for now and keep window shopping....

Guys,

I have been doing a bit of digging around and found these, they are for sale in the USA already and they are about £600 but appear to the same sort of thing as Geovids without the £1600 price tag....

Obviously someone is about to say......."You get what you pay for".

And usually I would agree, but can anyone tell me, are these any good???
