Starting dogs

I like to enters my dog at 12 months in the day for the first season so they can get abit of experience on rabbits I do this by ferreting,cover work and I like to stand back to see the dog use its head and work out were the rabbits are then the secon year I start it lamping and afther that all my hard work I have me a alround rabbiting dog

i start mine off lamping i think daytime makes them hunt up.i only really lamp though so makes sence i start them off when i think there ready started my last bitch at 8month and she never looked back i have a dog pup at 9 1/2 month now and he is no where near ready yet he will go at 12month
