Simoman 110
My mate and I decided to have a wander around the farm and see what was about. We always get something at this farm, mainly pigeons but also rats, rabbits and foxes. We shot inside the building and got about 16 feral pigeons beofre taking the 4wd across some stubble, we only saw a couple of bunnies and I was spotlighting and shooting (difficult for me ), I had just got the crosshairs on a rabbit when a fox came through the hedge not 20 yards away, unfortunately the shotghuns were bagged in the bag. We stopped and loaded up whilst I squeked him in, unfortunately this fox had heard a call before as he stayed circling us on the edge of the beam Oh well we still had a good night out, better than watching telly My gun is the cheap Chinese plinker and my mates is a Webley FX2000 Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Been using the air arms pellets in my gun and I like them but the pigeons sometimes need another shot to kill them, is there a better pellet or am I just a crap shot :11: Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Thanks I read that head shots were preferable to chest shots so thats what I usually go for, its just i'm convinced a pigeon last week eventually died from lead poisoning as it took three head shots to drop it from its roost, it was like a feathered terminator Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Nice one.. just aim for the crop if you are not to clever with the the rifle.. ..Millet Quote Link to post
mad al 146
Hi, nice bit of work there. With regards to pellets, have you tried Accupels, a brilliant all-round pellet, the only draw back is that they are filthy things to handle, mind you I'm a pretty crap shot, so there's a good chance they'll die of lead poisening if you use these :11: . How does your mate enjoy the FX2000? , been thinking of one of these myself...Al Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
My mate tends to buy and sell lots of air guns but he has stuck with this one. He loves it and recently decided to keep it instead of getting a Theoben. The gun is very easy to shoot and has a 10 shot magazine. Quote Link to post
