mike1458 14
Hi everyone. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on purple spray (Methyl Violet). I personally love the stuff and thinks that it keeps minor cuts and grazes nice and clean and clear from bugs and infection. But I have also heard some bad things about it saying that it can make the wound worse. All opinions are welcome. ATB Mike

ATB Mike in my opinion it all depends on what sort of cut, how deep, i tend to use salt water for cleaning the wound these days,
Hannah4181 260
I've used it for 20 years and never had a problem with it making a wound worse! I still use it for minor cuts and scrapes, i also use another product for horses made by "Naff", its a green antiseptic gel, i tend to use that for deeper wounders, tears, puncture wounds, its great for plugging wounds with and healing from the inside out. Attack Fell Terrier 864
Mates of mine have used it and they've had nothing but good things to say about it. Not used it myself though.
