Purple spray

Hi everyone. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on purple spray (Methyl Violet). I personally love the stuff and thinks that it keeps minor cuts and grazes nice and clean and clear from bugs and infection. But I have also heard some bad things about it saying that it can make the wound worse. All opinions are welcome.

in my opinion it all depends on what sort of cut, how deep, i tend to use salt water for cleaning the

wound these days,

I've used it for 20 years and never had a problem with it making a wound worse!

 

I still use it for minor cuts and scrapes, i also use another product for horses made by "Naff", its a green antiseptic gel, i tend to use that for deeper wounders, tears, puncture wounds, its great for plugging wounds with and healing from the inside out.

Mates of mine have used it and they've had nothing but good things to say about it.

its good stuff i have used it for years on the farm. ive used it on every single animal on the farm with no problems what so ever.

cut heel i use for deep cuts! i think its for horses and smells like hell, and alamycin is the anti spray both good and like above never had a problem.
