beddy whippet colours

i have found some first cross bedlington whippet pups for sale on internet but have only ever seen the blue or blacks, do they usually throw other colours like these in the pics,

I very mutch doubt they are first crosses fawns and blacks in f1x are common but they look very smooth haired to me.It looks another case of calling them a certain cross for conveiniance and makes them easier to sell.atb dell

A mate of mine is expecting a litter of beddy whippets end of this month. The dam is a pure whippet and the sire is only 1/4 beddy so the pups will be only 1/8 beddy. His last litter from this pairing were various colours. Some were short haired and others were broken coated. So, i think it probably depends on how much beddy is in their make up.

god those pups are the spit of mine and they a doberman X whippet/lurcher.and now at six weeks they have rough and smooth coats...

The Bedlington gene is strong so 1st crosses will usually have beddy coats and be mainly black, which can turn blue as the pups grow, and sometimes liver coloured.
