Squirrel_Basher 17,103
Out Friday with Local off the site ,on a farm where the control is onging .The farmer runs a shoot as well as breeding rare sheep which are due to lamb now .Lamped the lower fields first and spotted charlie well out on the flood plain ,stalking ducks i expect .The fact that he never ran said to me he was probably new around here and a squeak proved just that .He was cautious at first but his confidence grew as he came in ,trotting along nicely . I was on the bipod up on a bank and i watched charlie skip through the wet areas in the scope on his way in . Local held the beam low at his feet ,the method i use to good effect and soon charlie was under the bank with only his ears showing. He obliged by coming up over nicely and that was the end of him .A dog fox in perfect nick. Tried the higher ground and saw another but he was skylined against the nearby town lights .Stalked in but he was having none of it . Edited March 7, 2010 by foxdropper Quote Link to post
