dog badly hurt

I had the grey out last night just for a walk an she gt attacked by terrier I have bathed wound last night but its still open. The wound is skin ripped off and you can see muscle under neeth I have just got her and she is not yet insured and I don't get payed till next week what can I do for her ps the bleeding has stopped and I have given an antibiotic. Thanks stew

II took it to vets for pets and they said no can do and the peas is about 15 mile away and I don't know anyone with. Car available during the pdsa opening times

If you cant take the dog to the vet then try this, If the torn skin is still there get some one to hold the dog while you stitch it back up, needle and cotton will do or super glue, i kid you not, i have used this method on my racing pigeons, then antiseptic powder to dry the wound (available from any decent pet shop), then cover the wound with absorbent cloth from any first aid kit and bandage over this, it does not have to look pretty and you will have to change it every day, and keep giving antibiotics until there is no redness (infection)around the wound.

thanks I will try stitch it as. I av no glue but any other advice is welcome and your time is aprechiated and a promise never to shoot a pigeon again lol

my mates dog had a similar injurry. i taped the dogs mouth shut and held it down while he stitched it. healed perfect.

get it to the vets dont start fkn about with glue and fek knows what get of the pc and get it sorted then get rid of the dog you obviously cant afford to look after it !!

Ere dirty Rio this is my fifth dog and all 4 insured apart from her cos I had her 2 days and it was a lil stray that bit her I will match any of my 3 working dogs to yors bull grey, deer grey, beddy whippet. And me other a German shepherd so don't come. On here lecturing me matey

well if you have had working dogs .i would have thought you would have known how to deal with it and it aint a good idea to be talking about mending dogs on an open forum .but thats your choice good luck

U daft or summit mate I said my others are insured when they get ill they go the vets god ya can't get the staff these days

Well if your other dogs are insured then your word is good with the vets you use ..now feck off this forum phone your vet jump in a taxi and get the dog sorted ...simple as
