them things you attatch to your calfs (Knee to ankle) to stop your trousers getting wet.

Are they really lightweight and can you get them small enough for a woman and do they work...just to stop trousers getting wet with lang damp grass?

:11: gaiters ... as long as you get a good pair like gortex they are spot on moll and well worth the money ...........

I bought a real good pair when I was in the army. As socks said, get the good ones. Mine are Berghaus jobs and are an excellent bit of kit

Now which ones are better, the ones which go over your boot (would they not restrict your movement a bit?) or under the heel ones

you need the one that goes over your boots and the gaiters in the link are spot on but the rubber wears away fairly quickly ... get the army issue ones with the hook attachment that clips onto your bottom lace and a wire that goes under your boot just like the ones in the link below ...............
