ferretville 69
Me and my mate were back out again today to clear a hedge and bit fenceline that the keeper had mentioned whilst talking to him yesterday. It was a dull damp morning with a fine misty like drizzle coming down. Quick brew and it was time start laying longnets and purse nets out. Did a couple of little sets first out in the open away from the hedge . Bagged 1 straight away but nowt at home in the second. Onto the hedge now We entered 4 ferrets and quickly they were going about there buisness running the tubes searching out there quarry. And it was`nt long for the first bolt straight in the purse net . Rabbits were popping out and running the hedge but falling victim to the good old stop nets The hedge was only about 100 yard give or take so we split it in 2 with the first half going steady and producing a good few rabbits. Time for the other half and and off to agood start rabbit bolting straight into the longnets Aquick succession of bolts saw rabbits hitting purse nets ,back netting thereselves and hammering into the longnets great sport as some of these rabbits were really motoring the day . We bagged 15 rabbits from the hedge and not a single bit of spade work great when that happens as its does`nt often up here lol. Onto the fenceline now which we just purse netted and it was 1 of those fencelines that had 3 fences of barbed wire . Bagged a few from here surprising it did not yield more but hey there could be 20 in there next week just not today lol. Finished with 19 not bad on a damp miserable looking day but it was good to be out rather than sitting bored shitless in the house . This little girl was`nt wasting anytime in getting comfy End of day pics This bugger tried to climb back in her box wanting more A in all another good weekend on the rabbits atb FV Quote Link to post
