This story starts over a year ago. We moved house 29/12/08 did the right things phoned scottish power with new details meter readings from old house whitch was key card meter so psy as you go ,also details on meter reading on the new house all was fine untill a month later we got a letter from SP with someone elses name on but our address saying thanks for joining scottish power please set up a direct debit. So it was on the phone to ask why the name was incorrect, the said there was a mistake and it would be sorted. Next thing the guy came to read the meter all well bill came in paid it even got a discount for paying in 10 days. Well next time the guy came to read the meter it said the house was empty :wallbash: :wallbash: called them again and they said our account had been closed :wallbash: :wallbash: but they would sort it next bill came in payed it. Next bill came in with a discount because i had payed to much the last time. Things changed and we had to move house again 17/12/09 just a month ago so phoned SP changed adsress gave old meter reading and new one so just before xmas got a bill in to say we were in credit by 500 and odd quid :clapper: :clapper: for period 29/12/08 to 12/04/09 for old place was not to bothered and just left it was there cock up and i did not owe them anything. Well its gets better just got a bill this morning for 29/12/09 to 12/04/09 same dates as i was in credit but i now owe them 8 grand :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: .

Do scottish power just make up things as they go along i am so glad i never set up any direct debits or gave them card details. will call them on monday see what the hell is going on :boxing:

Has anyone else had these problems
